Terms of Service
The agreement between you and CockpitConnect when you use the platform, app, API and Bridge.
Version 2026-10-25 · By creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy .
The service
CockpitConnect lets you design cockpit behaviour as Flows in the cloud Flow Builder, sync them to a Bridge on your own network and run them on ESP32 controllers connected to a flight simulator. These terms apply to the website, the app, the API, the Bridge and the controller firmware we provide.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and give a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password, two-factor codes, API keys and Bridge keys secret, and for everything done with your account and workspaces. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
Workspace admins decide who joins their workspace and what members may do; members' use is the workspace's responsibility.
Your Flows and content
Flows, project configuration, documents and other content you create remain yours. You give us the rights we need to store, sync, back up and display that content to provide the service to you and your workspace.
When you publish a Blueprint to the marketplace you allow other users to view, copy and use it under the licence shown when you publish. You must have the right to share anything you publish.
Acceptable use
Do not use CockpitConnect to break the law, to access other workspaces or accounts, to overload, probe or attack the service, or to reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows. We may suspend accounts that do, after warning you where reasonable.
Plans and billing
Every workspace is on a plan. The Free plan costs nothing and has no end date. The Pilot and Captain plans are paid by subscription, monthly or yearly, in euros through Stripe, at the prices shown in the app and on our pricing page. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until a workspace admin cancels it in the subscription portal; it then ends at the end of the period already paid for.
A plan limits what the workspace can add in the cloud — controllers, members and paid modules — never your offline Bridge: it keeps running your last synced Flows whatever plan you are on. If a workspace holds more than its plan allows, for example after a subscription ends, the cloud studio becomes read-only for it until it is back within the limits or on a bigger plan. Nothing is deleted.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while and the workspace keeps its plan in the meantime. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends and the workspace moves to the Free plan.
The Founder Licence is a one-off payment, sold in a limited run, that puts one workspace on the Captain plan for as long as that workspace exists. It belongs to the workspace and cannot be transferred. If a workspace that buys one already has a subscription, the subscription stops at the end of the period already paid for. It includes everything the Captain plan includes, now and as Captain grows, except services that cost us money each time they are used — such as AI features or data bought from a third party. We may offer those separately to every plan, a Founder Licence included.
If you buy as a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. A plan or Founder Licence starts straight away, so when you buy one we ask you to request its immediate start and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once it starts. We record that acknowledgement before any payment is taken.
Using CockpitConnect to earn money — a sim centre, a training device, or cockpits you build for sale or rent — needs the Commercial plan, agreed with us and invoiced directly.
Prepaid Credits, which we sold before plans, are no longer sold. Any balance left when plans started was turned into extra Pilot time, or refunded on request. The history stays readable in the app.
Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice and apply from your next renewal. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Hardware and simulators
CockpitConnect is for flight simulation and entertainment only and must never be used for real-world aviation or safety-critical purposes. You build and wire your own hardware at your own risk; follow the electrical guidance for your components.
The simulator is the source of truth for cockpit state. We are not responsible for third-party simulators, add-ons or hardware, or for changes to them that affect the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the cloud service available, but do not guarantee it is uninterrupted. Your Bridge keeps running your last synced Flows when the cloud is unreachable. We may change or remove features; we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you pay for.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data you could have backed up, or damage to hardware you built. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; deleting a workspace ends its subscription. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious breach of these terms. After the account ends we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without affecting the mandatory protections of the country where you live as a consumer.
Changes and contact
When these terms change meaningfully we update the version above and ask you to accept the new version. Questions: privacy@cockpitconnect.com .
