The Bridge runs on your SimPC, a second PC or a Raspberry Pi and connects your cockpit hardware to X-Plane 12 — no cloud connection required at runtime.
Downloads are available to registered CockpitConnect users.
Where to run the Bridge
Pick either setup. Your panels find the Bridge over WiFi wherever it runs, so you can move it later without rewiring anything.
On your sim PC
The simplest start. Install the Bridge on the PC that runs X-Plane 12 and it connects to the sim by itself. Nothing else to install or configure.
On a second PC or a Raspberry Pi
Keep your sim PC for the sim alone: its CPU goes to frames, and no hub full of USB boards hangs off it. X-Plane 12 only accepts API connections from its own PC, so the sim PC also runs the X-Plane Proxy, a tiny open-source tool that lets the Bridge reach X-Plane 12 over your network.
- Install the Bridge on the second PC or Raspberry Pi.
- Download the X-Plane Proxy below and run it on your sim PC. It listens on port 8087.
- In the app, open the workspace Settings and set the X-Plane 12 address to your sim PC's local IP address (for example 192.168.1.110) and port 8087.
